Kohlhaas

The desire to explore further into personal cultural background that encompasses the African culture drives finding the right concept to enhance the narrative of 'Kohlhaas' as the dominant internal and external  examinations during the conceptualization phase of this project is ample.
The  leading character 'Kohlhaas' makes decisions that permeates his people  to suffer; whether his intent was full of self-content or for the good  of others, his decisions eventuates as catastrophe and chaos to the  community.
The design decision to delve deeper is to explore what Kohlhaas did through the lens of the Trans-atlantic slave trade. This slave trade was the largest  slave trade of the African continent and has brought immense consequences continental-wide, but the effect soared to be also inter-continental.
The scenic design centers around the conflict and injustice that shadowed upon the  ingenious people while emphasizing the paramountcy of this historical undertaking.
